Following the request of certain participants of the Rainbow Tour or Sweet Trip, the Gaystronotrip appeared in 2021. For this new trip, the emphasis is on the riches and reputations of France. For this auto tour, a selection of hotels, inns or chateaux hotels is preferred. Gastronomy will be an important point of this tour: as far as possible, the selected restaurants are selected by the famous Gault & Millau or Michelin guide. For the participants, meals consist of good local dishes and also more refined and sophisticated cuisine. The months of September and October are often a quieter period for activities related to classic cars, and that is why we take advantage of this moment to find ourselves in a different region of France each time. The meeting being longer in time, it allows to discover in a more in-depth way a new region. This meeting is dedicated exclusively to the car ride and relaxation by traveling as much as possible the tourist routes of the destination area, and this without games or questions. Finally, the group is smaller, which makes it possible to deepen new encounters or maintain old or new friendships.
Since 2021, the Gaystronotrip has been a unique gathering for gays (or gayfriendly) lovers of classic or exceptional cars. This unique event in Europe takes place over a period of 1 week every 2 years in September or October.
Our slogan for this event is simple: a week of gastronomy in classic car!
