PRESENTATION
With pleasure I present to you the 13th SWEET TRIP. This is a gay classic car rally which will be organised from the 16 until the 19 april 2027 by Dominique De Taverny.
For the 2027 SWEET TRIP will take place in the Marne department, around the city of Reims. This French department is located approximately 150 kilometers east of Paris. For this SWEET TRIP, you’ll enjoy a relaxing weekend with scenic drives, pleasant roads, convivial meals, and visits to local heritage sites. In short, the slogan for this weekend is simple and remains the same: come, discover, enjoy, and relax with your classic car! For your convenience, the road book and program will be translated into English and French.
It is important to note that this rally is reserved for vintage and collector vehicles (over 30 years old) or exceptional vehicles (rare vehicles produced in limited numbers).
I’m counting on a large turnout and look forward to seeing you on 16 April 2027.

ACCOMODATION
For the 3 nights, you will stay at the Mercure Reims parc des expositions **** hotel. This establishment is located in Reims, 5 km from the city centre.. All spacious rooms have televisions, Wi-Fi, and bathrooms with showers or bathtubs. This hotel has a restaurant where we will have our evening meals. Also, the bar reserved for hotel guests will remain open in the evening. Important: The hotel parking is private and enclosed.

PROGRAM
The meeting will begin on Friday, April 16, 2026, in the late afternoon at the Mercure Reims Parc des Expositions hotel. Everyone will check into their rooms, and dinner will be served afterward. The hotel bar will be open for the evening.
Saturday 17 April, we’ll head to the Reims Champagne Automobile Museum. From the early 20th century to the Marne taxi and racing cars, you’ll discover the evolution of the automobile. Nearly 250 vehicles, cars and motorcycles, some of which were produced in very limited numbers, are on display in what is one of the most important automobile museums in France.
Afterward, we’ll travel to Fismes for a memorable meal.
Following lunch, we’ll visit the France 40 – Vehicles Museum. The France 40 – Vehicles Military Museum is dedicated to the history and equipment of the 1940 French campaign. This museum aims to be a place for sharing and camaraderie. Immerse yourself in the history of the Second World War (1939-1945) through an exhibition featuring over a hundred mannequins in period clothing, as well as some twenty vehicles, tanks, cannons and antique equipment! The emphasis is on the realism of the scenes and the quantity of equipment on display.
You will continue your journey towards the former Reims-Gueux circuit. Located on the western outskirts of Reims, the 7.8 km circuit was comprised of departmental roads and a section of the N31 highway. It was first used in 1926 for the inaugural Marne Grand Prix, organized by the Automobile Club de Champagne. In 1938, the Automobile Club de France used it for the French Grand Prix, and the first official Formula 1 race was held there in 1950. Formula 1 cars last raced on the circuit in 1966, with the final race meeting in 1969 and the last competition in 1972. The circuit was permanently closed due to financial difficulties. It hosted 14 French Formula 1 Grand Prix races. Much of the pit garage and part of the track layout are still visible today. An association, Les passionnés du Circuit de la Marne, works to preserve this legendary circuit.
In the late afternoon, return to the Mercure Reims parc des expositions hotel . Dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant. In the evening, the bar remains available for a chat over a drink.
Sunday 18 April, we’ll head to the town of Chouilly, near Épernay. A trip to Champagne wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a producer of the renowned Champagne house: Nicolas Feuillatte. The history of Maison Nicolas Feuillatte reads like a success story: it’s the newest of the major Champagne houses, yet it brings together 4,500 winegrowers and strives to create exceptional Champagnes with a spirit that blends modernity and audacity. The visit will conclude with a tasting.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we’ll travel to Fère-en-Tardenois to visit ATPR 02. A garage tucked away in a courtyard, the place doesn’t look like much… But when you step inside, a treasure awaits! Whether you’re a car or motorcycle enthusiast, a lover of vintage machinery, an owner or user, or simply looking for a taste of yesteryear, you’ll find something to enjoy in this unique, community-run museum.
In the late afternoon, return to the Mercure Reims Parc des Expositions hotel. Dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant. The bar remains open in the evening for you to relax and chat over drinks.
Monday 19 april, get up at the time you want! The breakfast room is open until 10:00. Then everyone is free to go back to his home. For those in a hurry, they can leave early in the morning. For the others, it will be possible to keep his room until noon or to extend the stay in the region and to discover individually other curiosities.
TARIFFS
The price of €465 per person in a double room (e.g. €930 for two) or €625 per person in a single room includes:

Please note : Those travelling alone, please reserve a single room, not a double, unless you have found a roommate yourself. The organisation cannot select or find participants for you to share a room.
Every meal during this event is ‘all-inclusive’ comprising wine or beer, water and coffee. However, neither individual consumptions in bars, hotels and restaurants are not included in the price.
Important: Your registration is only final upon receipt of the full registration fee. Please make payment as soon as you register for Sweet Trip 2027. Why is payment required upon registration? For the past few years, many people have registered as soon as registration opens, reserving spots. The event fills up very quickly, forcing us to turn people away and create a waiting list. Later, many registered participants cancel their registrations, but those on the waiting list plan their weekend without waiting for a potential cancellation.
In case of cancellation, a fee will be retained on your registration:
Up to 61 days before the Sweet Trip: Your registration can be cancelled, subject to a €25 deduction
Between 60 and 31 days before the Sweet Trip: 80% of the total registration is refunded
Between 30 and 11 days before the Sweet Trip: 50% of the total registration is refunded
Last 10 days before the Sweet Trip: No refund of registration
