2d Chouette Rallye

PRESENTATION
I have the honor and pleasure to present to you the CHOUETTE RALLYE, which will take place on the weekend of 28th, 29th & 30th october 2022, under the direction of Dominique De Taverny. For this year 2022, I propose a new event: an autumn weekend in France. The CHOUETTE RALLYE is a surprise car rally at night in order to put a little “spice” and “bite” in the competition. You have the games, puzzles or questionnaires that will put your mind and your logic to work. However, nothing too complicated or too arduous in order to best preserve the good atmosphere that you will bring to this unique event! You will have a detailed road book so you don’t get lost. The main purpose of this outing is above all fun and relaxation. The rest of the weekend will be devoted to driving and exploring the region. It is important to note that this rally is preferably reserved for classic cars (more than 25 years old) or exceptions (rare vehicles produced in few copies).

ACCOMMODATION
For the 2 nights, you will sleep at the Najeti Hotel Château Tilques*** in Saint Omer (62). Located just 5 km from Saint-Omer in Pas de Calais department, Château Tilques was built in 1891 on the ruins of a 17th century mansion. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court and a bar. The rooms have either a modern decoration or a period style. A large part of the rooms are located in the outbuildings of the castle. Private parking is available on site. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the Channel Tunnel and ferry ports and very close to the border with Belgium.

PROGRAM
The meeting will begin on friday 28th october 2022 at the end of the afternoon directly at the Najeti Hotel Château Tilques*** in Saint Omer (62). Everyone will take their room, can relax for a while in it or have a drink at the bar, then dinner will be waiting for you. For the end of the evening, the bar will be open.
On saturday 29th october , direction the city of Arques. The morning will be devoted to the visit of the company Arc International. The glass manufacturing secrets of the crystal factory will no longer hold any secrets for you! The world leader in Tableware, Arc France, invites you to access the footbridge overlooking its manufacturing workshop. From up there, you will also witness the transformation of the drop of molten glass into a finished product. And so that you do not miss any detail, this striking spectacle is “zoomed” on TV screens. Indeed, these allow you to have an overview of the different manufacturing stages.
Afterwards, head to a restaurant for a good meal together.
In the afternoon, direction Houlle. On the program, visit the Persyn distillery: Living Heritage Company, discover the manufacturing secrets that inhabit this artisanal distillery. During the visit of the distillery you will discover the world of cereals, stills and oak wood to help you discover the whole process of making Houlle genever. First, discover the history and place of this digestive. Then, after the screening of a film, discover the facilities as well as the production rooms. Finally, enjoy a moment of tasting this typical eau-de-vie from the North of France. A miniature bootle as a gift for each adult visitor.
At the end of the afternoon, back to the Najeti Hotel château Tilques. You can relax at the bar or at the swimming pool before the evening meal. Dinner at the restaurant Najeti chateau Tilque
Then, the rally will begin at night in the countryside around Saint Omer. You will have to provide answers to questions of all styles. No specific subject, but general questions on very different subjects. Also, questions relating to monuments or places crossed on your way. Finally, surprise games on your way. At the end of your journey, you will be back at the Najeti Hotel Château Tilques where you can take a good night’s well-deserved rest. Do not panic ! you are not going to spend the night on the roads. This nocturnal game is not compulsory.
On Sunday 30th october, departure from the hotel towards the town of Arques again. Lovers of old trains, this trip is for you! The Aa Valley Tourist Railway offers you a unique visit to the Regional Natural Park of « Caps et Marais d’Opale ». Board the red and cream “Picasso” train and enjoy in an original way between Arques and Lumbres over 15 km of the old Saint-Omer/Boulogne-sur-Mer railway line. At Blendecques station, presentation of a collection of railway objects.
Afterwards, you will take the pleasant little roads of the region to return to the hotel Najeti château Tilques for a meal together. At the end of lunch, you will find out your ranking in the competition and you will receive your prize. Then everyone will be free of their time. For those in a hurry, they can go directly to their homes. Finally, for the others, it will be possible to extend the stay in the region and discover other curiosities individually.

The price of €282 per person in a double room (i.e. €564 for 2 people) and €360 in a single room includes:

Please note : Those travelling alone, please reserve a single room, not a double, unless you have found a roommate yourself. The organisation cannot select or find participants for you to share a room.
Important:
Every meal during this event is ‘all-inclusive’ comprising wine, water and coffee. Not include wine for Saturday dinner because you will drive after dinner. However, neither individual consumptions in bars, hotels and restaurants are not included in the price.
Your registration is final only upon receipt of the total amount of the registration and payment must be made by 15th september 2022 for the Chouette Rallye 2022.
In case of cancellation, a fee will be retained on your registration:
Up to 60 days before the Chouette Rallye: Your registration can be canceled free of charge
Between 59 and 30 days before the Chouette Rallye: 80% of the total registration is refunded
Between 29 and 15 days before the Chouette Rallye: 50% of the total registration is refunded
Between 14 and 8 days before the Chouette Rallye: 20% of the total registration is refunded
Last 7 days before the Chouette Rallye: No refund of registration
